Water colour from the Collection Amor Fati

“In ‘The Pythagorean Cosmic Egg’ I continue to explore the idea of music being produced by the cosmos itself… Here, I’m paying reference to the many historical cultural myths regarding the creation of the universe from a cosmic egg. Just as in Pythagorean Harmony of Spheres, I’m trying to create a musical element through composition and choice of color. Also, similarly, my choice is for a soft palette, reflecting the idea that the Cosmic symphony is inaudible… Or is it? This is an idea I want to continue to expand on.”,

a reflection from artist Greg Suffanti.

This remarkable aquarel with a story has been made especially for the book of Heidi Muijen about the Quest for Wisdom vision around the board game for global citizenship: Amor Fati, spelende wijsheid voor de kosmopolis.

On page 318, the painting illustrates how world citizenship requires a politics of humanity and multiple cultural perspectives. Only in this way can justice be done to collective and personal identities of people and their cultures, as a wise response to global issues beyond the symptoms of crisis and across the boundaries of nations and cultures. It requires a politics of recognition of cultural minorities, according to Franz Fanon, the great inspirer of the emancipation movement Négritude – Black is beautiful
