Louise Müller, PhD is interested and academically trained in African Philosophy (esp. Akan Philosophy), Intercultural Philosophy, World History and Religious Studies with a focus on Asia and especially Africa.
She obtained an M.Sc. and PhD in African Studies from the University of Edinburgh (UK) and published a book on her thesis topic, which is entitled ‘Religion and Chieftaincy in Ghana’ (Lit Verlag, 2013).
She then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Utrecht University focussing on African film. Currently, she works as a Lecturer in African cultures and philosophy at Leiden University (LUCAS).
She is also affiliated to LUCAS as a researcher in collaboration with a South African partner University.
